I bought Screature as a Christmas gift for a young child, but, the way it was packaged allowed me to see it in action first. I was very impressed. It quickly became the hit at the office. The numerous actions that the dinosaur performs and the sounds it makes are very fun. Apparently you can fill it with water and it will “spit” at you (just like a real Velociraptor) but I did not see that as I never took it out of its box. It is very well built and comes with batteries, so it can be enjoyed immediately. Movement is controlled strictly by its programming, with the exception of the dinosaur’s arms, which can be adjusted manually. It’s legs do not move.
Although I am not sure that it is a toy that will occupy a child for hours on end, I believe any child who likes dinosaurs will enjoy this toy.
A great toy for little dinosaur lovers, and what little boy isn’t? My 4-year old grandson quickly figured out the many different trigger actions to make the T-Rex roar, bite, purr, and many responses in between. After playing with it, he would stand the Screature at the entrance to the room as a guard and to keep it available when he wanted to enjoy it again. A clever toy that deserves all the hype it is getting.
We purchased this dino for our son for Christmas therefore, I am not sure about the details. I will say, that if your little person is interested in dino’s this is a great gift! It came on time and packaged fine. I would order from this seller again. I hope I have been of some help!
I bought this for my 4 year old for Christmas and then his Grandmother got him one for his birthday which is also in December. (we have 2 now is what I am getting at). Well, the birthday gift from his Grandma works but does not squirt so we opened the Christams gift and tried that one to see if we could swap it. That one works but does not squirt either. I probably should be gratefull it does not squirt based on the refilling comments prior.I think I am going to return only one of them. It is still an adorable toy that my son slept with anyways!
